Addressing a global audience of over 1,000,000 customers, this large-scale e-commerce website experiences nearly 10,000 daily visits. I focus on enhancing user experience and UI design while ensuring daily operations run smoothly and comply with global legal standards.
The challenge
Redesign the Website
In response to the changing times and in line with the latest design trends, I improved the user experience through the redesign of the website. Emphasising the principles of mobile-first and user-centric design, I ensured that everyone, using any device, could seamlessly and efficiently browse the website and make purchases.


Landing Pages

Each brand features a dedicated page with unique elements that narrate the product’s story, enabling customers to gain deeper insights and increasing their purchasing intent.
Seasonal promotions and sales are crafted for special occasions such as Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year, with bespoke landing pages designed to attract customers and boost sales.

Enhance the navigation

Incorporate a prominently placed search bar to facilitate quick content discovery, especially for users seeking specific information. Breadcrumbs contribute to user orientation, providing a visual trail of their journey within the site hierarchy. Consistency in layout, design, and placement of navigation elements across all pages enhances predictability for users, fostering a sense of familiarity.
Optimising loading speed is essential to prevent user frustration and bounce rates. Encourage user feedback through surveys, analytics, and testing to continuously refine and enhance the navigation experience. Accessibility considerations, such as alternative text for images and keyboard navigation, make the website inclusive to users with disabilities.
By implementing these strategies, I created an efficient and user-friendly navigation system, ultimately enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

Through strategic optimization techniques, we have significantly improved the site’s visibility on search engine results pages, resulting in increased organic traffic. Our targeted approach to keyword optimization, content enhancement, and technical SEO has propelled VTech to prominent positions in relevant search queries. This success is not only measured in higher rankings but also in the improved user experience and engagement on the site. The accomplishment reflects our commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, adapting to algorithm changes, and consistently refining our SEO strategies. As a result, VTech now enjoys enhanced credibility, increased online presence, and a competitive advantage in the digital landscape. Analytics
Successfully implementing website optimization on VTech’s site involved the utilisation of tools such as Google Analytics for comprehensive analytics. Regular analysis of the gathered data provided valuable insights into user behaviour and traffic sources. This significantly improved user experience, increased website traffic, and boosted sales.
The integration of heatmap tools, specifically Crazy Egg, visually depicted user interaction by showcasing clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements. The analysis of these heatmaps allowed for the identification of user engagement patterns, enabling informed decisions to optimise the website’s layout, design, and content.
